As well as making them fire resistant. Another method commonly used was Asbestos Insulation Boards. Used In walls, ceilings, fascias and soffits. Lastly, Artex and Asbestos Sprayed Coatings were another method used to cover walls.

Asbestos Insulation Board (AIB)

Asbestos Insulating board (AIB) was commonly used within internal partitioning in commercial properties. It has also been used as wall cladding that’s usually fixed or boned. Identifying AIB can be difficult without a specialist and/or testing as it is often confused with non-asbestos materials. Therefore it’s always worth testing.
