Asbestos Insulation Board (AIB) Removal
Asbestos insulation board (usually known as AIB) was widely used between the 1950s and 1980s for ceilings, partitions, soffits, ducts, fire-resisting panels, fire doors, lift shafts and behind heating appliances. It contains a high percentage of amphibole asbestos and is one of the higher-risk ACMs.
Because of that risk, AIB removal is licensed work in almost all cases. Harts Waste arranges AIB removal across Essex and London with our HSE-licensed partner contractors, fully compliant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
Each project includes a written plan of work, RAMS, controlled enclosure, negative pressure where required, full PPE, four-stage clearance and licensed disposal with full consignment paperwork.
This is the most regulated of our specialist asbestos removal services. See also asbestos ceiling removal and commercial asbestos removal.
